ArcGIS Pro with Landtrendr

Humans just aren’t good at grasping large scale concepts. Whether it involves vast areas or lengthy timeframes, we need visualizations to help us grasp most climate level concepts. In this project, images were classified and analyzed for surface reflectance to map areas of forest cover and disturbance between 1984 to 2021.

This chart shows the change in surface reflectance over time of an area that was clear cut in the Fall of 1994. After the initial drop in SR, steady recovery can be observed over the length of the study.
